High Speed PLA Filament
Eolas Prints High Speed PLA is specifically formulated for rapid 3D printing at speeds up to 300mm/s — without compromising surface quality or dimensional accuracy. Its enhanced polymer matrix delivers nearly double the strength of standard PLA, with impact resistance comparable to ABS, making it the right choice for high-volume production and functional parts that need to print fast.
Key Properties
| Tensile strength | ~2× standard PLA |
| Impact resistance | ABS-level |
| Density | 1.24 g/cm³ |
| Diameter tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
| Food-contact-safe raw material | Yes — virgin pellets and masterbatches certified to EU food-contact standards (see note below) |
| Skin contact safe (raw material) | Yes |
| Toy safe (raw material) | Yes |
| Post-annealing compatible | Yes — improves thermal properties |
A Note on Food Contact
Our food-contact certification applies to the raw filament material — the virgin pellets and masterbatches we manufacture from — not to finished printed parts. 3D-printed surfaces contain microscopic gaps between layers that can harbour bacteria, and most printers use brass nozzles that may introduce trace metals into the print. For this reason, no 3D-printed object can be guaranteed food-safe by the filament alone. If you intend a part for food contact, print it with a stainless-steel nozzle and apply a food-safe sealant — and assess suitability for your specific use. This remains the responsibility of the maker.
Recommended Print Settings
| Nozzle temperature | 200–240°C |
| Bed temperature | 0–60°C |
| Print speed | 100–300 mm/s |
| Cooling fan | 80–100% |
| Enclosure | Not required |
| Diameter tolerance | ±0.05 mm |
Recommended Applications
- High-volume print farms requiring fast throughput
- Industrial design and rapid prototyping
- Functional parts requiring speed and mechanical strength
- Precision engineering components
- Production environments with Bambu Lab, CoreXY, and other high-speed capable machines
Manufactured in Spain
High Speed PLA is manufactured at Eolas Prints' facility in Cantabria, Spain, under ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. Available in 1.75mm in 5 colours: Blue, Red, Black, White, and Grey.
