Prusa Core One Plus +
The Prusa CORE One+ is Prusa Research's fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer, designed to bridge the gap between hobbyist bed-slingers and professional enclosed systems. With a 250×220×270 mm build volume, active chamber heating to 55°C, and the Nextruder direct drive extruder, the CORE One+ handles engineering materials — ASA, PC, Nylon, PA-CF — that the MK4S can print but that benefit significantly from a warm, stable chamber environment. Available fully assembled or as a kit.

Why CoreXY and Why It Matters Here
In a traditional Cartesian printer (MK4S, MINI+), the print bed moves back and forth on the Y axis, carrying the weight of the print as it grows. This limits practical print speeds and causes quality degradation on tall prints as mass increases. In the CORE One+'s CoreXY design, the toolhead moves in both X and Y while the bed moves only vertically — dramatically reducing moving mass. Combined with an all-steel frame and active chamber heating, this allows the CORE One+ to print faster than the MK4S, with better quality at speed, and with consistent results on prints that would be problematic in open-air machines.
55°C Active Chamber Heating
Many printers are technically enclosed but passively heated — the chamber warms up from the bed's residual heat. The CORE One+ actively heats the chamber to a set temperature, maintaining it throughout the print. At 55°C, materials like ASA and PC Blend print with dramatically reduced warping and delamination risk. The system also intelligently manages PLA and PETG printing with the door closed — detecting when chamber temperature is rising too high and adjusting accordingly, so you don't need to open the door to print standard materials.
Material Compatibility
- Standard: PLA, PETG — printable with door closed
- Engineering: ASA, ABS, PC Blend, PA-11, PA-12, PA-GF, PA-CF
- High-performance: PEEK, PEI (with HT Hotend upgrade)
- Flexible: TPU (direct drive handles flexible filaments reliably)
- Composite: Carbon-fibre-filled and glass-fibre-filled materials (hardened nozzle required)
Who It's For
- Engineers and product designers who regularly print in ASA, PC, or Nylon and need reliable warping-free results
- Professional prototyping studios requiring faster print speeds and better quality-at-speed than a bed-slinger offers
- Makers stepping up from the MK4S who need enclosure capability without moving to industrial pricing
- Small batch manufacturers producing functional parts in technical materials
