3DMakerPro Toucan 3D Scanner
The 3DMakerPro Toucan is a versatile handheld 3D scanner designed for makers, product designers, and professionals who need accurate digital models of small to medium objects. With dual scanning modes, up to 0.05mm accuracy, and infrared technology that works on dark and reflective surfaces without spray coating, the Toucan delivers print-ready results for 3D printing, reverse engineering, quality inspection, and creative digitisation projects.

Dual Scanning Modes
Near mode (100–200mm) is optimised for small objects — jewellery components, figurines, mechanical parts, and anything under 100mm in a single dimension. At this close range, the Toucan captures fine surface detail at its maximum 0.05mm accuracy.
Far mode (150–550mm) handles medium-sized objects — shoes, helmets, engine components, and objects up to roughly 500mm across. The wider range allows the scanner to maintain tracking on more complex shapes without requiring marker placement.
Infrared Technology — No Spray Required
Many structured light scanners struggle with dark or highly reflective surfaces — black plastic, shiny metal, and glass — because these either absorb the scanning pattern or reflect it unpredictably. The Toucan's infrared technology captures these surfaces reliably without applying scanning spray, which is time-consuming, messy, and can obscure fine surface detail on precision parts.
Workflow — Scan to Print
The included JMStudio software processes raw scan data in real time, allowing you to see the mesh building as you scan. Once the scan is complete, JMStudio handles alignment, hole filling, and mesh optimisation before export. Output files in OBJ, STL, and PLY are directly compatible with Meshmixer, Blender, Fusion 360, and all major 3D printing slicers. The gap between physical object and print-ready file is shorter with the Toucan than with many scanners in this price range.
