xTool F1 Portable High Speed Laser Engraver
The xTool F1 is a portable galvo laser engraver that combines a 10W diode laser and a 2W infrared laser in a single compact unit. Unlike gantry-based laser engravers where the laser head moves across the material, the F1 uses galvanometer mirrors to deflect the beam — achieving engraving speeds of up to 4,000 mm/s, many times faster than comparably priced machines. The result is a desktop engraver fast enough for on-site personalisation, market stall production, and high-volume batch runs.

Diode + IR — Two Lasers, Broader Material Range
The 10W diode laser (455nm) engraves and cuts organic materials: wood, bamboo, leather, acrylic, cork, rubber, fabric, and paper. It is the primary working laser for most jobs.
The 2W infrared laser (1064nm) is a fundamentally different wavelength that interacts with metals and non-organic materials differently. It engraves stainless steel, aluminium (including uncoated), gold and silver jewellery, ceramic tiles, glass, and plastics that the diode laser cannot mark. Switching between lasers takes seconds in software — no physical module change required.
Galvo Speed vs Gantry Speed
Standard gantry laser engravers — including most xTool open-frame models — move the laser head physically across the material on rails. This limits speed to 400–600 mm/s for quality work. The F1's galvanometer system uses two small mirrors to deflect the beam at the speed of electronics, not mechanics. At 4,000 mm/s, a batch of 10 engraved keyrings takes roughly the same time a single item would on a standard machine. For businesses doing volume personalisation, this changes the economics of laser engraving entirely.
Portable Operation
At 2 kg with a USB-C power connection, the F1 can be used on a market stall, at a trade event, in a client's premises, or anywhere without a mains setup (with the optional battery pack). The enclosure folds flat for transport. Few professional laser engravers offer this combination of speed and portability.
